1. (on the 26" instant) Hong Kong telegraphs: "I think that I could raise a Volunteer Corps to 1000 Men during a crisis. The Battalion of Welsh Fusiliers stationed here is required for South Africa. The Welsh Fusiliers have 800 men fit for service.
